more than financial matters

Ok, so I was on MC yesterday because I was having migraine due to lack of sleep the previous 2 nights. I kept on coughing, throat feels itchy and I can't sleep properly. So went to Dr yesterday to get meds and MC. I'm ok now, thanks for your concerns ;) I think the antibiotics prescribed made it better.

Anyways, the GP knows that I work in a hospital. So after examining me, the Dr asked whether I still worked at the same hospital. Yes, where else can I be, right? Sad. So then he commented about how busy I must be because of new MOH means testing guidelines.

Right.

And he went on and on and even asked my opinion about it; whether it's fair or not. As I was not feeling well, I merely commented that it depends on your family situation. Well, I could have commented more if I was feeling better.

But then again, doing means testing is the least of my work concerns. It's not even a concern, I must say.

Well, the misunderstood job scope of an MSW.

Sigh.

I've come to the point where I'm tired of educating others. Hmm...does it mean that I need to do something to rekindle the passion?

i miss my iPhone (2)

In reference to this previous post, I am now a resurrected owner of an iPhone :))

Hahaha...got mine for a second-hand worth $310. Cheap right? Considering that I bought it "without contract". Hehe. But it's white in colour. Oh well, an iPhone is an iPhone.

The best part is, when I sync the new iPhone to iTunes, my photos and other files from the lost iPhone appear in the new one! Cool right? iTunes is so clever...

Ok, enjoy the moment. My life will be changed (again).

aisyah's engagement

Went to Aisyah's engagement today. Congratssss babe!!!

Like we said, 99 more steps to the marriage/wedding.
As in Sally's words, "sabar menunggu"...whatever that means, according to istilah masing-masing ;)

-----------------

Just as I left home, my mum asked me where I was going.
So I told her Aisyah's house, and she was trying to recall who Aisyah is. I told her nevermind, she's one of my social work mates.
Then she asked, going to her house for what?
So I told her it's for Aisyah's engagement ceremony.
Then, in that particular tone of voice, she said, "Aisyah is getting engaged???"

I quickly got out of the house.

When I got home, she asked the usual question, like who's Aisyah's guy and all.
And later asked my sister and I, when are we getting engaged. (note: when, not to whom)

Which I recalled, that my mother once said that getting engaged was a waste of time and money.

Hmmmm...so the comment was weird.

And I replied, "any time also can!"

Dread awkward conversations with mum.

benefit some kind-a gorgeous (the foundation faker)

Once upon a time, I bought this from one of the sprees website.

I was initially lured by the cute and quirky packaging produced by Benefit. Not forgetting the unique names (lemon aid, high beam, bene-tint, etc) that they came up for their products. Basically, Benefit cosmetics were the hot thing then. Everyone was ordering it via sprees website. Much cheaper that buying off the counters at deparment stores. Anyway, apparently there were good reviews about the products. I read through the catalogue and was impressed by how the cosmetic promised to give one a natural look.

This foundation comes only in 2 shades - normal and deep. It is a cream to powder kind of foundation, and gives a translucent look.

Basically, I didn't like this product. Although it did gave a natural look, it was a tad too oily for my skin. Coverage is not great and I find that the foundation wore off easily.

I discarded it after using two thirds of it.

If you have non-oily skin, don't perspire much and looking for a foundation that gives a natural look, you can try this.

beauty credit green tea bb cream

Decided to try this product.

I find it quite good!

The texture is creamy, just like any other normal facial cream. There's only one tone for this bb cream. Although the cream appears to be darker than my skin colour, it seems to blend flawlessly with my skin tone. Easy to use, just rub it evenly on your face. No mess!

At the end of the day, my colleague said that my face didn't look as red as compared to other days. And I also noticed that less of uneven skin tone even at the end of the day, without any touch ups. And, when I dab away my perspiration from my face, the bb cream doesn't get wiped away as well. Which is better, compared to my previous Revlon 2-way cake foundation. Plus, it makes the makeup look more natural.

It has green tea and healing properties. Will see how it is in the next few months. If it's good, I shall stock up when I go Korea :)

the face shop waterproof eyeliner

I can't find a photo of the product on the internet.

Basically if you're interested, you can go to The Face Shop and look out for the above product. It comes in a black box. The Face Shop has other similar eyeliners, but those come in a green pencil casing. I think the black pencil casing one is waterproof, and the colour is darker than the green casing one.

What's unique is that the bottom part of the eyeliner, you can detach it and it becomes a sharpener. Totally cool.

I have oily eyelids and usually the eyeliner will smudge. Even liquid ones would, despite me putting on primer before application. However, this particular eyeliner, despite being a pencil one, is able to last me the whole day at work! It really stays on. Although there would be a bit of smudging on the crease of your eyelids, it's much better than other pencil eyeliner I've tried. One of my colleagues commented that it looked like I was wearing my usual liquid eyeliner.

Will definitely stock it up when I go Korea :)
