First stop would be Little Vietnam at Mid Valley Mega Mall. It's located at the 4th floor, near to the cinema.
My parents and brother went there in late December and recommended this place. They even got a card where you can collect stamps for a certain amount spent, thereafter receive a free meal.
Before showing the pics of the food, let me comment on our journey from KL Sentral to Mid Valley Mega Mall by the train.
*huge sigh*
Firstly, the platform is built longer than that of the length of the train. It doesn't make sense. Of course when we reached the train platform, everybody was crowded at one area. Having common sense, we went to the end of the platform where there's not many people. We had to wait 15 minutes for the train to arrive. When the train finally arrived, it shoot past the platform we were standing at. Only then we realised why people were crowding at a certain area of the platform.
The story doesn't end here, people were pushing to go in and because of this, the people on the train couldn't alight because there is a bottleneck! It doesn't make sense. Why can't you give way to the people alighting. Moreover, there are lines on the platform just like on our MRT stations.
We couldn't board the train, so had to wait for another one. That involved another 15 minutes of waiting. Imagine, you wait half an hour for a freaking train to arrive. Before that we discussed our stategy of boarding the train as we did not want to miss this one. We concluded, if we can't beat them, join them! All hail the Singaporean kiasu-ism. In times like this, being kiasu is the way to go, man.
Ok, on to the pics from Little Vietnam.

Sally's mince chicken and mushroom noodle. She didn't really like it cos it was rather dry.

The beef stew noodle that I ordered. It's like wanton mee, just that it's with beef stew. This is damn sedap and tastes very beefy!

Vietnamese spring rolls. This is different from the typical ones. The skin is not the paper-thin kind, it's the soft jelly-like kind. Filling has some minced chicken in it. Delicious!
Mid Valley Mega Mall is huge! It's like bigger than Vivo City or Marina Square. Managed to buy some stuff. Shopping for clothes is not great cos the fashion sense seems different from in Singapore. Oh, talking about fashion sense, I'm sure many of you know about Malaysian Muslim ladies. Ok, I shall not elaborate more. My bitchy / bimbo comment is that they lack fashion sense. I know my fashion sense is not great, but I don't wear the same kind of things every day. Almost every body wears t-shirt and jean. Full stop. There you go, my bitchy / bimbo comment.
Dinner was at Manhattan Fish Market.
In Singapore tak Halal, lah. I remember Muzz saying that it's gonna be Halal here, but so far, nothing, leh.
Anyway I only have pics of the menu cos my camera battery died. And later on I realised I didn't even bring an extra battery pack.

We ordered this dish called the flaming platter or something like that. When the dish came, the waiter / waitress would actually torch it to melt the cheese. Such a pity I couldn't get a photo of it!
The second day saw us going to the Bukit Bintang area, where most of the hotels and some high-end shopping malls are located. Anyway, we were bored by the shopping. Took a break and ate lunch at the Chicken Rice Shop. It's cheaper than in Singapore. It's been a long time since I had a simple chicken rice dish. The one sold at the hospital is so unauthentic :(

My favourite Pie Tee! Can't get enough of this. Wanted to order more but I was stuffed.

Wanton soup. Was a tad too oily though.

Roast chicken and honey bbq chicken.
Anyway we had a satisfying and very filling lunch. After that, walked some more to see the shops. After an hour or so of walking, we were dead bored and decided to cab to One Utama. Sally described this as three times the size of Mid Valley Mega Mall.
We decided to go with the flow and stopped at any eatery for a break.
We say this and were bloody excited by it!

*GASP*
Ordered the XXL chicken and smuggled it to Secret Recipe opposite it.

Frosty lemon tea.

Mango delight.
We tapau-ed Carl's Jr and ate it at our hotel.

Ordered the Portabello Mushroom Burger by recommendation of Doreen and Yanah. There's huge slices of mushroom. I love mushrooms!

And another recommendation of Doreen and Yanah, the chilli cheese fries.
We are super unhealthy people. We ate supper and after that slept. Hahaha!
Ok, forgot pictures of our hotel room. Stayed at Tune Hotel. It's owned by Air Asia, a budget one. It's located near Sogo and it's 2 monorail stations away from Bukit Bintang.

When we checked in on the first day, we realised that there's no TV in the room. Went down to the reception and asked whether there's any room with TV, with the intention of upgrading rooms. The guys smiled and shook his head. Haha, embarrassing. But we lived without the TV.
